Apply for the 2023 ECTRIMS Summer School: Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 ECTRIMS Summer School, “From Biological Basis to Ecological Implications of Rehabilitation in MS”, to be held 27–29 June in Gdansk, Poland. This year’s school is being held jointly with RIMS. The deadline to apply is 16 January 2023. Global Committee Proposes New Framework on Describing MS Types: The International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in MS – a global body jointly supported by ECTRIMS and National MS Society – has proposed a new “mechanism-driven” framework to describe types of MS. The goal of the new framework – published on 18 November in Lancet Neurology – is to move away from purely clinical descriptions of separate phases and instead understand MS as a continuous disease process influenced and driven by underlying mechanisms of nervous system injury.
2023 Fellowship Programme: Application Season Wraps up Strong: More than 22 applicants from 16 countries have applied for our 2023 Fellowship cycle. We are truly humbled by the connectivity of our MS research community and look forward to helping young MS experts advance their knowledge and expertise. Recipients of the 2023 Fellowship Programme will be announcement in early spring.
