A key goal of ECTRIMS’ mission is to be actively involved in coordinating initiatives in research and clinical care in Europe and worldwide. We do this through a range of sponsored activities, including the International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in MS (IACCTMS), as well as focused workshops, published guidelines, and other activities that aim to improve the quality of treatment and care for people living with MS.

The International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in Multiple Sclerosis is a global body sponsored by ECTRIMS and the US National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). The Committee works to provide perspective and guidance in areas of interest to planning and implementing clinical trials for new agents for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
A number of governmental not-for-profit and for-profit organisations provide useful and easily accessible registries for recent and ongoing clinical trials.
